Long-distance movers, in particular, are raking it in, with the average 750-mile move for a 2-bedroom unit clocking in at $2,100 to $6,900.

According to an Anything Research report, increased demand, the rising cost of goods, and fierce competition between moving companies caused moving prices to jump 9.4% in 2022.

Moreover, 37% of Americans who moved last year said they didn’t budget their move correctly.
